Bright prospects – a resplendent new look for the Leonardo Royal Frankfurt following extensive renovations
The wait has been worthwhile. After completion of a comprehensive programme of renovation works, the Leonardo Royal Frankfurt offers elegant rooms and bathrooms, a light and airy gym, an updated sports bar, a modernised conference area and a stylish lobby.
Berlin/Frankfurt, 12. December 2024. One of Frankfurt’s best known hotels is boasting a fresh and stylish appearance. In December 2024, the Leonardo Royal Frankfurt is celebrating its reopening after twelve months of extensive renovation works. And there is much to discover. 280 of the 449 rooms have been given a complete makeover and now feature subtle nude-coloured and earthy hues. High-end and straight-line furniture, wood-look flooring and new bathrooms with premium-quality tap fittings and tiles all guarantee a comfortable stay. The breathtaking views have remained as they were. Each room still has its own balcony offering panoramic vistas of the Frankfurt skyline or of the City Forest.
The lobby has been upgraded to present a tasteful and contemporary look and feel, whilst the modernised reception space provides cosy and private seating areas. Guests will also enjoy the elegant atmosphere of the revamped lobby bar. This is the ideal location for evening drinks with colleagues or for a quick business meeting.
The classic design of the Vitruv Restaurant actually dates back to earlier renovation works carried out in 2019. It serves up international dishes, and reservations can also be made by guests attending conferences or meetings. The Leonardo Royal Frankfurt’s popular sports bar has retained its traditional rustic look, and shades of wood still prevail. But a new counter has been installed to freshen things up. Large screens ensure that public viewings of sporting events are a real treat. The sports bar has also introduced a new food concept.
The hotel’s extensive conferencing facilities, which extend over three storeys, have been updated. Modern technology has been added too. All 15 meeting rooms have natural daylight, and some even come with their own balcony. The Tower Room on the top floor is the highlight of the conference area in every sense of the word. Impressive views across the whole of Frankfurt can be savoured from a height of more than 100 metres. This is the perfect option for anyone seeking out a truly special venue for a party or a dinner.
The hotel’s gym, which has been expanded and decorated in a fresh colour scheme, is a further stand-out feature. Huge frosted glass windows flood the area with light to create a pleasant atmosphere in which to exercise on state-of-the-art fitness equipment. A sauna and a steam bath are available for those looking for a quieter experience and simple relaxation.
“Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main Region are an important location for Leonardo,” said Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe. “We have a portfolio of six hotels here. The Leonardo Royal Frankfurt was one of the first of these and therefore has a particular role to play. I am delighted that we have been able to take the rooms and public areas to a new level. We have successfully re-positioned ourselves on the Frankfurt hotel market.”
Viola Krome, General Manager of the Leonardo Royal Frankfurt, added: “We are very proud of our freshly renovated hotel. Frankfurt is a business metropolis and a major trade fair centre. It attracts many international guests. I am very much looking forward to offering them a home-from-home with modern comforts and a contemporary design."
